Take time for reflection...

Hey Sister,
As we enter into Holy Week, I want to invite you to slow down with me and silence the noise, and draw near to the heart of Jesus. Let's focus to remember, reflect, and realign our hearts with Jesus who gave everything for us.
My invitation to you is a daily walk through Holy Week, filled with Scripture, encouragement, and real-life application to help us grow closer to Jesus and one another.
Palm Sunday – Welcoming the King
“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” – Mark 11:9
Palm Sunday reminds us that Jesus is our King. The crowds praised Him, but many turned away days later. Let’s ask ourselves—do we praise Jesus only when things are good, or do we remain faithful when life is hard.
Application:
Start your day with praise. Write a short prayer or a journal entry thanking Jesus not just for what He’s done, but for who He is—Savior, Friend, Healer, and King. Invite Him into your week intentionally.
I’ve found that when I start my week praising God—before the to-do list, before the emails—I carry more peace throughout the day. Even when things go sideways, my heart stays rooted.
Monday – A Cleansing Heart
“Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there…” – Matthew 21:12
Jesus cleansed the temple on Monday, reminding us that our hearts—His dwelling place—need constant attention.
Application:
Take 10 minutes today to ask the Lord: “What needs to be cleansed in my life, Lord?” Maybe it’s bitterness, comparison, or distraction. Be honest and let His grace meet you there.
For me, it was anxiety. I had to surrender my need to control every outcome and let Jesus reign in that space. It wasn’t easy, but it was freeing.
Tuesday – Faith that Speaks
“If you have faith and do not doubt… it will be done.” – Matthew 21:21
On Tuesday, Jesus taught about faith.
Sister, your words have power. What are you speaking over your life, your family, your future?
Application:
Speak life. Write down 3 affirmations rooted in Scripture (e.g., “I am fearfully and wonderfully made – Psalm 139:14”) and declare them out loud each morning this week.
I started writing verses on sticky notes and putting them on my bathroom mirror. It may seem small, but it shifted my mindset—and reminded me who I am in Christ.
Wednesday – Silent Surrender
“Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests…” – Matthew 26:14
Wednesday is often called “Silent Wednesday” because the Gospels don’t record Jesus doing much. Yet in the silence, Judas was plotting betrayal. Not all silence is peace—but Jesus remained surrendered.
Application:
Take time to sit in silence today. Put your phone away, turn off the noise, and just be with Jesus. Ask Him: “What are You speaking in the quiet?”
Reflection:
Some of the most powerful moments in my walk have come not through words, but in silent surrender. He speaks when we’re still enough to listen.
Thursday – The Servant’s Heart
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” – John 13:14
On Thursday, Jesus knelt low to serve. He washed feet—dirty, dusty, tired feet. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was love.
Application:
Find one small way to serve someone today. Maybe it’s making a meal, sending a kind message, or helping a friend in need. Do it quietly, without expecting anything in return.
I once brought dinner to a single mom in our church. She wept—not just from the meal, but because someone saw her. Sisters, love looks like noticing.
Friday – Love that Sacrifices
“It is finished.” – John 19:30
Good Friday. The darkest day—but the most beautiful act of love. Jesus took our place. He bore our sin, shame, and sorrow.
Application:
Spend time today remembering the cross. Read the crucifixion story (John 19). Write a letter to Jesus—thank Him, grieve with Him, love Him. Every year, I read the story and cry. Not out of guilt—but out of awe. His love is relentless, even when we’re faithless.
Saturday – Waiting with Hope
“They rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.” – Luke 23:56
Saturday was silent, but it wasn’t the end. The disciples waited, unsure. We all have “Saturday seasons”—where God feels quiet.
Application:
Are you in a season of waiting? Hold on. God is still working behind the scenes. Write down a prayer of trust—even if you don’t feel it yet. Faith is not about feeling—it’s about believing. The silence of Saturday leads to the joy of Sunday.
Sunday – Risen & Radiant
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” – Matthew 28:6
Resurrection Sunday! Death didn’t win. The tomb is empty. And because He lives, so do we.
Application:
Celebrate. Really celebrate. Dress up, sing loud, feast with loved ones. And more than anything, remember that the same power that raised Jesus lives in you (Romans 8:11).
Remember!
You are a daughter of the risen King. Walk in that confidence. Love boldly. Forgive freely. Live fully. This Holy Week isn’t just about remembering—it’s about becoming more like Him!
Let’s walk this week together, hand in hand, heart to heart. Jesus is with us every step of the way.
Blessings,
Glenda
